Some of the founding members of our Organization had been Involved in administering Cross-Cultural experiential learning Programs in India for American and/or Canadian students for many years.
Rishi Chaturvedi, Director
Rishi had been working with SIT / World learning Inc. USA and involved in administering their College Semester Abroad Program in India for American Undergraduate students for 13 years. He worked as an In-Country Program Administrator. That was a senior administrative position and the specific responsibilities include but not limited to; In-Country Administration, selection of faculty members for the interdisciplinary seminars, building strong relationship with NGOs, supervising general office / program centre needs, home stays, student’s counseling, language and cross-cultural Training, logistics etc.
Established Tazurba International and as Director of this organization, designed and running various study tours and experiential learning / structured volunteering programs for groups of students from North America and Japan. Currently running regular programs for Japanese undergraduate students in collaboration with Tama University, Japan, many spring and fall groups of North American students in collaboration with Youth International LLC, USA. And Carpe Diem Education, USA. He had launched a faculty-led summer program in India in 2012, in collaboration with University of Illinois, Chicago.
In collaboration with Foundation Global Education, he designed an intensive summer program for diverse groups of high school students from top high schools around the world. We launched this program in 2010. Rishi also worked with University of Minnesota program in India as Study Abroad Consultant for several years. Also put together and running a 10 weeks long ‘ India—term abroad.’ program in collaboration with Union College, Schenectady, NY. USA.
Kiran Chaturvedi
Kiran spent over 15 years assisting in putting together and facilitating several programs but mostly doing backstage program work. Now she works in the field operations as well and travels with the student groups to all program destinations. Her responsibilities included in-country administration, Homestay administration, field trips, practicum lessons, student’s counseling, logistics etc.
Tazurba International is blessed with a dedicated team of Tazurba staff, host families and other resource people like guest faculties, visual and performing artists, fraternal NGOs and service providers. Our core team of Tazurba staff has all necessary skills, experience and talents to successfully run the program. We have wide-ranging contacts in academics, art and culture world and intelligentsia.
